The ISS Newsletter, published since 1993, is a quarterly recap of all the key news, conferences, meetings, forums, events, and activities of the ISS as well as developments occurred on the statistics in Iran and elsewhere. It is a rich reference for PhD alumni in statistics. and includes a section for the latest PhD thesis in statistics submitted in Iran, general articles of interest in statistical education to the statistical community as well as criticisms made on the statistical systems. Recently, the Newsletter focus has shifted towards official statistics and any notices and articles written in this area. Any criticisms on statistical news is mostly welcome. Regarding the education of statistics, the Newsletter is now concentrating on the current national program of B.Sc. in statistics and tracing all the recent developments in data science and its impact on training statistics in Iranian academic institutions.
